Informatica Senior Data Governance Technical Specialist - EDC, AXON, Python
Hyderabad, Telangana

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands‑on Informatica IDMC CDI Developer Lead who will own design, development, migration, and delivery of cloud-based data integration solutions. The role requires strong technical leadership, architecture understanding, and the ability to mentor a small team of CDI developers while working closely with data architects and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Own the end‑to‑end design and implementation of Informatica IDMC CDI solutions
  • Define cloud‑optimized ETL/ELT architecture and data integration patterns
  • Lead PowerCenter → IDMC migration design and execution
  • Establish coding standards, naming conventions, and reusable templates
  • Review and approve technical designs, mappings, and taskflows

Development Responsibilities

  • Design and develop:
    • CDI mappings for complex transformations
    • Mapping tasks and synchronization tasks
    • Parameterized and reusable workflows
    • Linear and event‑based taskflows
  • Implement:
    • Incremental and full load strategies
    • Error handling, logging, audit controls, and restartability
  • Optimize performance for high‑volume and SLA‑critical loads

Cloud & Integration Scope

  • Integrate data from:
    • RDBMS sources (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
    • Cloud platforms such as Snowflake / Azure Synapse
    • Cloud storage (ADLS Gen2 / S3)
    • Flat files and application feeds
  • Work with cloud teams to align on:
    • Secure Agent placement
    • Network and security setup
    • Cost‑efficient processing models

Secure Agent & Environment Management

  • Design and manage Hybrid Secure Agent architecture
  • Support Dev / QA / Prod deployments
  • Troubleshoot agent, runtime, and performance issues

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor 2–6 CDI developers
  • Conduct code and design reviews
  • Collaborate with:
    • Data Architects
    • Business Analysts
    • QA and Cloud Platform teams
  • Translate business requirements into technical deliverables

Production Support & Governance

  • Ensure job reliability, SLAs, and monitoring
  • Perform root cause analysis for production issues
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization

Skill Requirements

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Informatica IDMC – Cloud Data Integration (CDI)
  • Expertise in:
    • Mappings, taskflows, and parameterization
    • Secure Agent configuration and scheduling
  • Strong SQL and data transformation skills
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms (Snowflake preferred)

Good to Have

  • PowerCenter to IDMC migration experience
  • CDC and incremental loading strategies
  • CI/CD exposure (Git, automation pipelines)
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery
  • Exposure to data governance or data quality concepts

Experience & Education

  • 8–12 years of overall ETL/Data Integration experience
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on Informatica IDMC CDI experience
  • 2+ years in a Lead / Senior Developer role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
