Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Informatica MDM Administrator with over a decade of hands-on experience to lead the administration, maintenance, and modernization of our Master Data Management ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert in managing complex multidomain environments, specifically focusing on Product and Customer domains, while ensuring high availability and seamless platform performance across Linux-based infrastructures.
Diagnose issues in Hub Console, IDD, Process Server, and database connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Configuration
Install Informatica MDM Hub, Process Server, Application Server, and related components.
Configure repositories, schemas, and integration with RDBMS (Oracle/SQL Server).
Set up Informatica Data Director (IDD) and configure user interfaces.
Upgrades & Maintenance
Perform version upgrades, hotfixes, and patches for Informatica MDM and associated tools.
Validate compatibility with databases, application servers, and operating systems.
Ensure minimal downtime during upgrades with rollback strategies.
Performance Tuning
Monitor JVM parameters, heap memory, and garbage collection.
Optimize match rules, search queries, and cleansing functions.
Implement indexing strategies and database query optimization.
Security Administration
Configure role based access control (RBAC) and LDAP/SSO integration.
Manage encryption, SSL certificates, and audit logging.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies.
Monitoring
Configuring and utilizing the Datadog & Splunk
Content & Deployment Management
Manage configuration files, metadata, and deployment packages across environments.
Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, etc.).
Maintain version control of MDM configurations.
Backup & Recovery
Implement database backup strategies and MDM Hub repository backups.
Test disaster recovery procedures and failover mechanisms.
Ensure high availability and business continuity.
Troubleshooting & Documentation
Diagnose issues in Hub Console, IDD, Process Server, and database connectivity.
Analyze logs (application server, MDM Hub, database) for root cause resolution.
Maintain detailed runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaboration
Partner with developers for schema changes, match rule design, and workflow enhancements.
Work with infrastructure teams on server provisioning, patching, and monitoring.
Support business analysts and data stewards in MDM operations.
Skill Requirements
8+ years of core Informatica MDM administration experience.
Strong knowledge of installation, configuration, and upgrade processes.
Expertise in performance tuning (JVM, DB optimization, match rules).
Solid understanding of database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
Experience with application servers (JBoss, Tomcat).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control, and automation frameworks.
Knowledge of security administration, LDAP/SSO, and compliance frameworks.
Excellent problem solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams in a fast paced environment.
Preferred Exposure
Informatica PowerCenter: ETL workflows, integration with MDM.
Informatica Axon: Data governance and stewardship integration.
Informatica EDC (Enterprise Data Catalog): Metadata management and lineage tracking.
Informatica IDQ (Data Quality): Profiling, cleansing, and rule management.
Experience integrating MDM with enterprise data lakes, warehouses, and BI tools.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Informatica certifications preferred but not mandatory.
