Job Summary

Job Description – MSC Support L2 Engineer (Java + AWS + Microservices)

Role Summary:
The engineer will be part of a global 24/7 Production Support team responsible for critical Media Supply Chain (MSC) applications across on-prem and AWS environments. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with Java microservices, AWS services, databases, and the ability to support high-volume content operations.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2 Production Application Support for Media Supply Chain applications, REST API-based microservices, and AWS-hosted services.
  • Investigate and resolve production application & content workflow issues with clear RCA documentation.
  • Perform proactive monitoring of logs, workflows, queues, integrations, and AWS resources.
  • Work in rotational shift operations with required onsite overlap; flexibility during weekends if needed.
  • Collaborate with global engineering, platform, and content operations teams across time zones.
  • Support production releases, validation, deployment checks, and post-release monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot issues across Java/Spring Boot microservices, API failures, AWS components, and databases.
  • Maintain documentation including SOPs, runbooks, knowledge base articles, and operational checklists.
  • Participate in operational reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skill Requirements

Java & Microservices:

  • Strong experience with Core Java, Java 8+, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.
  • Ability to debug microservices, review logs, and analyze code-level issues.

AWS Cloud:
Hands-on experience with core AWS services such as:

  • EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM
  • Ability to monitor AWS resources, validate integrations, and support deployments.

Databases & Tools:

  • Strong SQL skills (advanced SELECT/JOIN).
  • Experience with Oracle, MongoDB, or similar NoSQL databases.
  • Exposure to CloudWatch Logs, Kibana, Splunk, or equivalent monitoring tools.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with media workflows or media supply chain platforms (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Python, Node.js, or React.js (optional but beneficial).
  • Experience with ServiceNow , Jira or other Incident Management tool

Other Requirements

Experience Required:

  • 3 to 8 years of experience in Java development or Application Production Support.
  • Experience supporting distributed microservices applications.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with global teams.
