Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Backend Developer to join our Connected Vehicle Platform team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining cloud-native backend services that power connected vehicle features and telematics solutions. The role involves developing scalable microservices, REST APIs, and integrations with vehicle systems, mobile applications, and third-party services deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices for connected vehicle applications.
- Implement business logic for telematics and connected vehicle features.
- Develop integrations with OEM systems, mobile applications, and third-party services.
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following coding standards.
- Create unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA teams, and DevOps engineers.
- Support deployment and release activities across development and production environments.
- Contribute to system design, architecture, and technical documentation.
Skill Requirements

- Strong experience in Java 11/17+
- Strong experience in Spring Boot
- Experience with Microservices Architecture
- Experience developing REST APIs
- Good understanding of Spring Data JPA / Hibernate
- Experience with SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
- Knowledge of MongoDB or NoSQL databases
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Git and branching strategies
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman
- Cloud & DevOps
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services
- Understanding of containerized deployments
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging frameworks
