Kubernetes Senior Technical Lead - Azure DevOps

Job Summary

Experienced GCP DevOps Engineer with 8+ years of expertise in designing, automating, and managing cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Responsible for implementing scalable, secure, and highly available solutions using Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and DevOps best practices to accelerate software delivery and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment.Provision and manage GCP infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Deploy and manage containerized applications on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, and Grafana.Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and scaling processes.Manage IAM, security policies, secrets, and access controls across GCP environments.Troubleshoot production issues and optimize platform performance, availability, and cost.Implement high-availability, disaster recovery, and backup solutions.Support DevSecOps practices and ensure compliance with security standards.Collaborate with development teams to improve application reliability and deployment efficiency.

Skill Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Monitoring.Expertise in CI/CD tools including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Google Cloud Build.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (GKE).Proficiency in Linux administration and scripting using Shell/Bash or Python.Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.Knowledge of DevSecOps, IAM, secrets management, and cloud security best practices.Experience with Git-based version control and repository management.Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and cloud cost optimization.Strong troubleshooting, automation, and problem-solving skills in production environments.

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of overall IT experience with strong exposure to DevOps and Cloud technologies.
  • Relevant GCP certifications such as Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Google Associate Cloud Engineer are preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Experience working in production support and enterprise-scale cloud environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in implementing security, compliance, and governance best practices in cloud environments.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call support and critical incident management when required.
