Lead Administrator (Support &Operations)

Job Summary

The Azure IaaS + PaaS + DevOps + Linux L2 Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day operations, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support of Azure cloud platforms and Linux environments. The role includes managing Azure infrastructure and platform services, supporting CI/CD pipelines, automation, deployments, incident handling, and ensuring high availability of enterprise workloads

 

Key Responsibilities

Azure Infrastructure (IaaS)

  • Support and administer Azure Virtual Machines (Linux)
  • Manage Azure Virtual Networks, NSGs, Load Balancers, VPN Gateways, Route Tables
  • Monitor Azure Compute, Storage, and Networking services
  • Perform VM provisioning, resizing, patching, backup, and restoration
  • Troubleshoot Azure infrastructure-related incidents
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity activities

Azure Platform Services (PaaS)

  • Support Azure App Services
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Azure Functions
  • Support Azure Storage Accounts, Azure SQL Database, Key Vault
  • Manage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Alerts
  • Handle performance, availability, and capacity issues

Linux Administration

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE)
  • User and permission management
  • Security hardening and patch management
  • Filesystem administration and performance tuning
  • Troubleshooting OS, network, and application issues
  • Management of SSH, DNS, NFS, LDAP, Samba, and related services

DevOps & Automation

  • Support Azure DevOps pipelines (Build & Release)
  • Troubleshoot CI/CD deployment failures
  • Support YAML pipelines and release processes
  • Assist with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/Bicep
  • Work with Git, Azure Repos, and GitHub
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, or Azure CLI
  • Support containerized application deployments
