Job Summary:
We are looking for an L2 Network Security Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Firewall technologies (Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortigate – any 2 mandatory) and operational exposure to Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA), Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (MDO), and WAF (Cloudflare).
The role focuses on BAU operations, ticket handling, troubleshooting, and change implementation in a 24×7 rotational shift environment.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Handle INC / SR / CR tickets within SLA
- Execute firewall configuration changes (rules, NAT, VPN)
- Troubleshoot network, Zscaler, email security, and WAF issues
- Perform initial RCA and log analysis
- Support Zscaler, MDO, and WAF operations
- Escalate complex issues to L3/OEM
- Maintain operational hygiene and documentation
- Provide customer communication and updates
Skill Requirements
Required Skills:
🔹 Firewall (Any 2 Mandatory: Meraki / Palo Alto / Fortigate)
Hands-on experience in:
- Security policies, NAT (SNAT/DNAT), ACLs
- Zone-based firewall configuration
VPN knowledge:
- IPSec / SSL VPN configuration & troubleshooting
Troubleshooting:
- Connectivity issues (policy/NAT/routing)
Log analysis:
- Traffic, threat, system logs
Exposure to:
- Meraki Dashboard / Panorama / Forti Manager
Other Requirements
Zscaler (ZIA / ZPA)
ZIA:
- URL filtering, web access policies
- Traffic forwarding (PAC, GRE/IPsec)
ZPA:
- Basic application access configuration
- Client Connector troubleshooting
- Basic understanding of SSO (Azure AD / SAML)
Troubleshooting:
- User internet access and application access issues
🔹 MDO 365 (Email Security)
- Anti-spam and anti-malware policies
- Safe Links / Safe Attachments
- Email trace and mail flow troubleshooting
- Quarantine management
- Handling phishing/spam issues
- Basic awareness of SPF, DKIM, DMARC
🔹 WAF – Cloudflare
- OWASP rule handling
- IP blocking / Geo-blocking
- Rate limiting
- Basic DDoS handling
- Troubleshooting false positives
