Job Summary
Virtualization Engineer - Roles & Responsibilities\r\n\r\n• Operate within GMP/GxP environment following ITIL processes, including creating and executing changes.\r\n• Ability to assess VMware and Nutanix environments and plan rehost based migrations.\r\n• Experience identifying application dependencies, infrastructure readiness, and compatibility.\r\n• Strong understanding of Nutanix HCI (cluster, storage, networking, AHV hypervisor).\r\n• Skills in configuring, validating, and upgrading Nutanix components in compliance driven environments (GMP/GxP).\r\n• Hands on experience migrating VMs from VMware to Nutanix AHV using Nutanix Move.\r\n• Ability to validate OS functionality, perform checks, and troubleshoot post migration performance.\r\n• Knowledge of Nutanix DR concepts, failover testing, RTO/RPO validation, and backup/restore operations.\r\n• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows/Linux servers, Nutanix cluster issues, and migration failures.\r\n• Ability to analyze logs and resolve performance or configuration issues.\r\n• Experience decommissioning legacy VMware environments and associated hardware.\r\n• Update and maintain virtual infrastructure (vCenter, ESXi, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV).\r\n• Troubleshoot and upgrade VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, Cisco components, and Nutanix hypervisors.\r\n• Configure hyper-converged infrastructure (VMware, Nutanix, AHV) and Windows physical infrastructure for new MCN requirements.\r\n• Ability to update CMDB and remove unused mappings or legacy resources.\r\n• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Change, Incident, Problem).\r\n• Capable of creating runbooks, SOPs, DR documentation, and validation evidence.\r\n\r\n\r\n
Key Responsibilities
2. To provide support for complex incidents, escalated by analysts, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to resolve technical & security issues.
3. To work on value adding activities such as maintainenace of a comprehensive Knowledge base , act as a mentor to junior analysts,and deliver training programs for freshers, equipping them with essential skills to become productive .
4. To contribute to a positive customer experience and high CSAT scores by providing fast, accurate, and secure resolutions, fostering customer trust and satisfaction.
5. To proactively identify and address potential security vulnerabilities to protect customer data and prevent security incidents.
