Lead Administrator (Tools & Automation)

Job Summary

In addition to the existing responsibilities, RIMs should:
1.  Incident Identification: Collaborate with the Incident Management Control (IMC) agent to confirm the incident based on the information provided. If the data is insufficient to determine the severity of the incident, direct the agent to gather additional information and present it for assessment.
2.  Communications: Ensure the accuracy and clarity of communication sent by the IMC agent. Review and approve the content before it is shared with stakeholders. Act as the primary operator of the bridge call, actively managing the communication flow.
3.  Team Mobilization: Oversee the mobilization of necessary response teams, including Subject Matter Experts, based on the nature of the incident. Provide guidance and approval for team assignments as needed assure irrelevant people aren’t connected to the technical bridge call.
4.  Incident Analysis: Verify that the IMC agent is accurate in gathering and analyzing incident-related information. Approve their work and provide guidance on additional analysis or investigation required.
5.  Decision Making: Make critical decisions based on the information provided by the IMC agent and response teams. This includes approving the response strategy and actions taken during the incident.
6.  Status Updates: Review and validate the status updates provided by the IMC agent. Ensure that accurate and timely updates are communicated to stakeholders throughout the incident response process.
7.  Handover: Conduct a thorough handover to the next RIM if the incident is ongoing beyond your shift or requires escalation. Include the current status, actions taken, decisions made, and any pending tasks in the handover.
8.  Post-Incident Review: Participate in the post-incident review process. Provide insights into decision-making processes, challenges faced, and lessons learned during the incident.
