Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow ITOM / CMDB Developer to design, develop, and optimize ITOM solutions and CMDB architecture within the ServiceNow platform. The role involves leading CMDB governance, discovery, service mapping, integrations, and ensuring alignment with CSDM best practices.
The candidate will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, security, and ITSM teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and compliant ITOM solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ITOM modules including:
- Discovery
- Service Mapping
- Event Management
- Cloud Management (Azure integrations)
- Configure MID Servers and manage discovery schedules and patterns
- Troubleshoot discovery issues and optimize identification and reconciliation (IRE)
- Implement monitoring and alert correlation for proactive incident management
- CMDB & CSDM
- Own CMDB design, implementation, and governance
- Ensure CMDB compliance with CSDM (Common Service Data Model)
- Define and enforce CI classes, relationships, and lifecycle management
- Improve CMDB health (completeness, correctness, compliance)
- Lead CMDB audits and remediation initiatives
- Support Azure tagging, resource synchronization, and cloud discovery
- Governance & Collaboration
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior developers
- Create technical documentation and solution designs
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB
- Hands‑on experience with Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management
- Good understanding of CSDM framework
- Strong scripting skills (JavaScript, Glide APIs)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Key Responsibilities
2. To provide support for complex incidents, escalated by analysts, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to resolve technical & security issues.
3. To work on value adding activities such as maintainenace of a comprehensive Knowledge base , act as a mentor to junior analysts,and deliver training programs for freshers, equipping them with essential skills to become productive .
4. To contribute to a positive customer experience and high CSAT scores by providing fast, accurate, and secure resolutions, fostering customer trust and satisfaction.
5. To proactively identify and address potential security vulnerabilities to protect customer data and prevent security incidents.
