Job Summary

CHANGE MANAGER

  1. All responsibilities of the Change Manager/Analyst/Coordinator role (Because for small size operations, the Change and Release Manager role may be executed by just one person, who shall act in capacity of both: The Change Manager as well as the coordinator)
  2. Insure that Impact Assessment of the changes is carried out keeping all possible impact scenarios in mind. Example: Technical, Non-Technical, Down time requirements, People and Skills, Cost, People, legal requirements to name a few
  3. Insure that Projects that modify infrastructure components follow formal Change Management procedures
  4. Insure that the most updated procedures are available and socialized with the Technology Tracks and approvers
  5. Identify right composition of the CAB meetings to discuss and evaluate/approve the variety of changes
  6. Identify any Process Compliance issues and escalate them using appropriate organization hierarchy in the OMCs
  7. Convene and chair the CAB (and on need basis, the Emergency Committee) meetings at correct frequency in order to facilitate a reasonable time scale for approval/rejection of the proposed changes
  8. Approve Standard Changes
  9. Identify the RFCs that may in future become Standard Changes and initiate actions to create such Standard Change Models/Service Requests
  10. Identify any Known Errors from the ‘Go/No-go’ decisions on Changes and pass that information to the Problem Manager and KEDB Administrator

Key Responsibilities

REALEASE MANAGER

  1. Design, implement, operate, and improve the Release Management process
  2. Planning and maintaining the release roadmap for one or more applications
  3. Release & deployment planning and coordination of multiple parallel releases
  4. Planning and setting up handover sessions from development teams to operations teams
  5. Collaborating with various stakeholders to secure a safe and successful delivery
  6. Creating and tracking of change requests
  7. Own the scheduling of the certification process across multiple platforms and products
  8. Act as the link between external partners and the production team, coordinating and negotiating development plans, exceptions as well as releases
  9. Own the process for submitting builds and store metadata
  10. Work closely with the various departments on identifying and resolving risk related to releases
  11. Generate reports regularly on associated KPIs.
  12. Monitor and report on process performance and make suggestions for improvements where possible
  13. Facilitate the Release process, ensuring effective communication, time planning, and build strong maintenance over time
