Job Summary
A Senior (Sr.) ServiceNow Tester designs, develops, and executes comprehensive test plans (manual/automated) for ServiceNow implementations, focusing on modules like ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, IRM, GRC ensuring quality, managing defects, and leveraging tools like the Automated Test Framework (ATF) to validate business requirements, often requiring strong scripting (JavaScript) and Agile skills, plus certifications like CSA.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Planning: Define and develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for new features, upgrades, and integrations.
- Test Execution: Perform manual and automated testing (functional, regression, performance, integration) across various ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, IRM, GRC and Custom Apps).
- Automation Development: Create, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using ServiceNow's Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Defect Management: Identify, track, manage, and report defects, working with developers for timely resolution.
- Reporting & Communication: Generate detailed test reports and communicate quality status to leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, BAs, admins, and clients in Agile/Scrum environments (sprints, stand-ups).
- Best Practices: Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, quality standards, and compliance.
Skill Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in ServiceNow testing, with significant experience in ATF and relevant modules.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ATF, scripting, REST APIs, CMDB, and test/defect management tools.
- Methodologies: Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and ITIL frameworks.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ATF, performance analytics, dashboards, and potentially source code tools (Git).
- Certifications: ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) or CAD (Certified Application Developer) are often preferred/required.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication (written/verbal), and stakeholder management skills.
