Lead Administrator (Tools & Automation)

Job Summary

  • Platform Configuration and Customization: Build and adjust modules (such as ITSM, TSOM, CSM) using out-of-the-box configurations and custom code.
  • Scripting and Automation: Write JavaScript for Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and automated workflows to streamline tasks.
  • System Integration: Connect ServiceNow with external enterprise systems and databases using REST and SOAP web services.
  • Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to turn business needs into technical designs.
  • Testing and Debugging: Troubleshoot platform issues, run test cases, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades: Support platform upgrades, apply patches, and conduct code reviews to maintain high quality.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical specifications, user guides, and system configuration records.
  • Administration of a ServiceNow instance including the delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions
  • Ready for rotational shifts including night shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum 3+ years Relevant ServiceNow Experience. Total IT experience minimum 7 Years.
  • Experience in supporting the implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development of the ServiceNow tool
  • ServiceNow Experience should include extensive scripting in ServiceNow, tool configuration, design work, technical configuration and deployment.
  • Specifically, candidates should possess the skill to develop on the ServiceNow platform including the creation and/or customization of the core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog and workflows.
  • System/Process Automation (Orchestration) experience. System integration experience using web services and other web based technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP
  • Experience with working or developing in any one of the following programming languages: JavaScript, CSS, HTML or HTML 5,Angular JS
  • Excellent communication skills

Skill Requirements

  • ITIL Foundation V3/V4
  • ServiceNow Administrator Certification (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

 


Preferred Skills

 

  • Understanding of Configuration Management as it relates to ITIL
  • Web Services Integration (SOAP,REST,and JSON)
  • Experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking including TCP/IP ports and firewalls, network protocols, and IP networks
  • Strong communication, Strong presentation and writing skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to demonstrate influence in a consultative fashion to stakeholders and other team members.

 

Soft Skills

 

  • Problem-solving: Ability to debug complex script issues quickly.
  • Communication: Clear articulation of technical solutions to non-technical teams.

Leadership: Experience guiding small development teams (for senior candidates
