Job Summary

The Azure Stack HCI L2 Engineer is responsible for administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support of Azure Stack HCI environments. The role focuses on maintaining platform availability, managing virtualized workloads, storage, networking, patching, and incident resolution.

 

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Azure Stack HCI clusters and associated infrastructure.Monitor cluster health, performance, storage, and networking components.Manage Hyper-V virtual machines and virtual networking.Perform routine maintenance activities including patching, upgrades, and firmware updates.Troubleshoot cluster, storage, compute, and networking issues.Support Azure Arc integration and Azure hybrid services.Manage Windows Server operating systems within HCI environments.Participate in backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities.Monitor alerts through System Center, Azure Monitor, or other monitoring platforms.Perform incident, change, and problem management activities following ITIL processes.Work with OEM hardware vendors (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco, etc.) for hardware-related issues.Document operational procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.Provide support during planned maintenance and critical incidents.

Skill Requirements

Azure Stack HCI administration experience.
Windows Server 2019/2022 administration.
Hyper-V virtualization.
Storage Spaces Direct (S2D).
Failover Clustering.
Software Defined Networking (SDN).
Azure Arc and Azure Monitor.
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
PowerShell scripting.
Backup and Disaster Recovery concepts.
ITIL Incident and Change Management.
