Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing and resolving advanced LAN/WAN network issues, ensuring operational stability and security for critical business functions. The individual will facilitate root cause analysis, mentor team members, and drive improvements in support processes to enhance customer satisfaction and protect organizational assets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoot and resolve complex LAN/WAN connectivity and performance issues using advanced network diagnostic tools, ensuring minimal business disruption.
2. Implement and maintain ITIL-aligned processes for incident, problem, and change management within LAN/WAN environments, ensuring compliance with security and data privacy standards.
3. Conduct root cause analysis for escalated network incidents and execute remediation strategies to prevent recurrence and strengthen network resilience.
4. Proactively monitor network infrastructure using platforms such as SolarWinds or Cisco Prime, identifying security vulnerabilities and coordinating prompt mitigation actions.
5. Maintain and update comprehensive network documentation and knowledge bases, supporting efficient operations and knowledge transfer within the team.
6. Mentor and deliver technical training to team members and new joiners on LAN/WAN management best practices, fostering skill development and productivity.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and secure resolution of network-related issues, contributing to high customer satisfaction scores.

Skill Requirements

1. Advanced proficiency in LAN/WAN technologies, including configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent).
2. Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VLANs, VPN).
3. Strong experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime).
4. Indepth knowledge of ITIL processes and their application in network support operations.
5. Good awareness of security best practices and data privacy standards in network environments.
6. Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues independently and communicate solutions effectively within the team.

Other Requirements

1. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification is optional but valuable.
2. ITIL Foundation certification is recommended.
