Risk Domain Knowledge CREDIT RISK i. Knowledge of Credit Risk functions ii. Understanding of Commodity Derivatives (physical & financial) & Price curves iii. Understanding of Credit Risk Concepts such as LGD, ECL, PD, PFE etc. iv. Understanding of Credit Risk Reporting: Exposure, Credit review, Limit reporting, controls reporting v. Good to have experience in ETRM systems such Endur, Aligne etc. B. Business Analysis a. Requirements Management: Elicit, document, and trace business and functional requirements. b. Process & Data Analysis: Map current processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements. c. Stakeholder Engagement: Lead workshops, manage stakeholders, and drive solution alignment. d. Testing & Validation: Define acceptance criteria, support UAT, and ensure business needs are met. e. Knowledge Leadership: Own end-to-end analysis for strategic initiatives; act as SME for requirements. f. Performance Management: Balance multiple priorities and bridge business-IT communication. C. Assess the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impact. Assess and model processes, data flows, and technology to understand the current value and issues, and identify opportunities for improvement. Create / update clear documentation of requirements to align with the solution over the project lifecycle. Ensure traceability of requirements from business needs through testing and scope changes, to final solution. Interact with software suppliers, designers and developers to understand software limitations, deliver elements of system and database design, and ensure that business requirements and use cases are handled. Configure and document software and processes, using agreed standards and tools. Create acceptance criteria and validate that solutions meet business needs, through defining and coordinating testing. Create and present compelling business cases to justify solution value and establish approval, funding and prioritization. Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control Business Analysis activities on projects within agreed parameters of cost, time and quality. Key Responsibilities
Business & Requirements Analysis
- Capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and user stories.
- Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements across the project lifecycle.
- Create, maintain, and update comprehensive requirement documentation.
2. Risk & Domain Understanding
- Apply strong knowledge of Credit Risk domain (LGD, ECL, PD, PFE, exposure, limit reporting).
- Understand commodity derivatives (physical & financial) and pricing curves.
- Analyze business impact, risks, feasibility, and improvement opportunities.
3. Process & Data Analysis
- Assess and model business processes, data flows, and system interactions.
- Identify process gaps and recommend optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Perform data analysis using Excel and SQL to support decision-making.
4. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Engage with business users, product owners, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, and large design sessions.
- Align business and IT teams to ensure solution acceptance and clarity.
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams.
5. Solution Design & Implementation Support
- Work with developers, designers, and vendors to ensure business needs are implemented.
- Contribute to system and database design discussions.
- Configure and document systems/processes using standard tools.
6. Testing & Validation
- Define acceptance criteria and success metrics.
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
7. Agile Delivery & Project Execution
- Work within Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and also support Waterfall where needed.
- Plan, execute, monitor, and control business analysis activities.
- Educate stakeholders on Agile practices and drive Agile adoption.
- Manage priorities across multiple deliverables.
8. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain clear and structured documentation in tools like JIRA, Confluence.
- Prepare business cases, reports, and presentations for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with documentation standards throughout the lifecycle.
9. Leadership & Ownership
- Own end-to-end business analysis deliverables for strategic initiatives.
- Lead BA activities and guide teams on analysis best practices.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for requirements and domain-specific queries.
10. Communication & Knowledge Sharing
- Communicate effectively (verbal & written) with all stakeholders.
- Translate complex business needs into simplified technical solutions.
- Drive knowledge sharing across teams and contribute to continuous improvement.
