Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
3. Lead and participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
4. Create detailed documentation including user stories, process flows, and technical specifications.
5. Work closely with developers and qa teams to ensure successful implementation and testing of solutions.
6. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts and team members.
7. Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance productivity and delivery efficiency.
Skill Requirements
5+ years of Business Analysis experience within Insurance, Employee Benefits or Financial Services domains, with Group Benefits and Life Insurance domain knowledge being mandatory. Experience in UK Group Risk, Group Life, Group Income Protection and preferably Group Pensions (UK and Australia markets) would be advantageous. Strong experience in requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation, user story creation, acceptance criteria definition, backlog refinement and Agile/Scrum delivery. Good understanding of end-to-end insurance business processes including Quote-to-Issue, Underwriting, Pricing, Policy Administration, Member Administration and Claims Management. Awareness of AI-assisted discovery, requirements analysis and SDLC acceleration tools, with the ability to understand, leverage and validate AI-generated outputs and translate them into business-ready artefacts.
