Job Summary

Position Details 

  • Role: ABAP Lead Consultant 

  • Experience: 06–08 Years 

  • Location: India (Client/Hybrid) 

  • Industry: Steel Manufacturing 

  • Reporting To: SAP Technical Architect / Program Manager 

Organization Overview 

  • Join a large SAP transformation program supporting steel manufacturing clients implementing SAP S/4HANA solutions. 

Role Purpose 

  • Lead SAP ABAP development activities, technical design, custom developments, integrations and code optimization across Greenfield and Brownfield SAP S/4HANA projects. 

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Lead end-to-end ABAP development delivery for SAP projects. 

  • Prepare technical specifications and high-level designs. 

  • Develop and review RICEFW objects including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms and Workflows. 

  • Support S/4HANA custom code remediation and simplification activities. 

  • Design and build CDS Views, OData Services and Fiori-enabled applications. 

  • Coordinate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions. 

  • Perform code reviews and enforce development standards. 

  • Support SIT, UAT, Cutover, Go-Live and Hypercare activities. 

  • Manage offshore development teams and mentor junior consultants. 

  • Identify performance improvement opportunities and resolve production issues. 

Required Experience 

  • 6–8 years of SAP ABAP implementation experience. 

  • Experience in at least one Greenfield and one Brownfield SAP project. 

  • Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations or conversions. 

  • Strong experience in client-facing consulting roles.

Educational Qualifications
