Job Summary

Role Summary 

HCLTech is seeking an experienced SAP DS Lead Functional Consultant with 6–8 years of SAP implementation experience to lead SAP PP/DS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) initiatives for large steel manufacturing organizations. The role requires expertise in SAP S/4HANA Greenfield and Brownfield programs, production planning, finite capacity scheduling, manufacturing optimization, and integration with core SAP modules. 

Key Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Lead SAP PP/DS solution design, configuration, testing and deployment activities. 

  • Drive Greenfield, Brownfield, rollout and SAP S/4HANA transformation projects. 

  • Conduct workshops and gather business requirements from production planning and manufacturing teams. 

  • Configure demand planning, finite scheduling, capacity planning, heuristics and optimization processes. 

  • Design detailed scheduling solutions for steel production, rolling mills and downstream operations. 

  • Support production sequencing, resource utilization and bottleneck management activities. 

  • Integrate SAP PP/DS with PP, QM, MM, PM, EWM and FICO modules. 

  • Prepare functional specifications and support ABAP, integration and reporting developments. 

  • Lead SIT, UAT, cutover planning, go-live and hypercare support. 

  • Mentor consultants and provide best-practice guidance for supply chain planning processes.

Implementation Experience 

  • 6–8 years SAP implementation experience 

  • Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP projects 

  • Greenfield and Brownfield transformation experience 

  • Testing, cutover and hypercare support 

  • Production support and continuous improvement initiatives 

Education & Certifications 

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Technology or related discipline 

  • SAP PP/DS or Production Planning Certification preferred 

  • SAP S/4HANA Certification desirable
