Job Summary
Mission. Make the harness real on the Vestas estate: the governed tool catalog, the quality gates, the pipeline and deployment path, the telemetry and the marketplace publication flow. Three generalists on one backlog, not three specialists; whoever is free takes the next item.
Outcomes owned. The governed MCP tool catalog with least-privilege identities. The quality gate: the deterministic floor standardised through templates, plus the evaluation gate action that judges agent-assisted changes against the solution brief. The golden deployment path: merge lands as a running service on Azure Kubernetes Service with infrastructure from the template, never authored by the Raptor. The telemetry pipe into the existing OpenTelemetry and Grafana stack with cost computed at ingestion. The marketplace publication step listing every finished agent with value, cost and trust. Portability verified on a second estate assistant.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities. Build reusable GitHub Actions workflows and roll them out through org rulesets and templates. Implement the hooks: a large share of this work is defining and automating GitHub hooks and required checks. Stand up MCP server configurations for the approved systems. Wire session and CI telemetry emission and the cost board. Build the container-to-AKS deployment workflow with one-action rollback. Pair-review with the tech lead; demo what shipped on Fridays.
Skill Requirements
Must have
- Strong general software engineering: these seats must be genuinely good developers.
- Deep, practical CI and CD: GitHub Actions, branch protection and rulesets, pipeline design. This is the non-negotiable that ordinary application developers often lack.
- Azure and AKS deployment experience.
- Scripting fluency in Python or TypeScript.
- Competent daily use of AI coding assistants as a builder.
Strong plus
- MCP protocol experience · OpenTelemetry instrumentation · Snowflake or Databricks touchpoints · policy as code · infrastructure modules (Bicep or Terraform).
Other Requirements
Calibration note for recruiters. Engineer-engineers with pipeline awareness. A very good developer who has never owned CI and CD will struggle here; a platform-minded developer who ships workflows and understands hooks will thrive.
