Job Summary
Position Summary
HCLTech is seeking an experienced SAP VIM Senior Consultant with 6–8 years of SAP implementation experience to lead OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) solutions for SAP S/4HANA transformation programs in the steel manufacturing industry. The role requires expertise in Greenfield and Brownfield implementations, invoice automation, accounts payable optimization, document management, workflow design, and integration with SAP S/4HANA modules.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Lead SAP VIM solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support activities. Conduct workshops to gather business requirements for invoice processing and accounts payable automation. Configure invoice capture, approval workflows, exception handling, and document processing. Integrate SAP VIM with SAP S/4HANA, MM, FI, Procurement, and Vendor Management processes. Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams. Support SIT, UAT, cutover, hypercare, and post-go-live stabilization. Mentor junior consultants and provide leadership in project delivery.
Steel Industry Responsibilities
Support invoice processing for procurement of raw materials, coal, iron ore, alloys, maintenance spares, services, logistics, transportation, and plant operations. Enable automation of high-volume vendor invoice processing across multiple steel manufacturing plants. Improve compliance, audit readiness, and payment cycle efficiency.

Greenfield & Brownfield Experience
Experience supporting end-to-end SAP implementation projects, Brownfield conversions, Greenfield deployments, rollout programs, data migration, process harmonization, invoice workflow redesign, and operational transformation initiatives.
Required Experience
6–8 years of SAP consulting experience with minimum 2 full lifecycle SAP projects. Experience implementing SAP VIM/OpenText solutions and working with SAP S/4HANA initiatives. Manufacturing or steel industry experience preferred.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Commerce, Finance, Computer Science, or related discipline. SAP FI certification, SAP S/4HANA certification, or OpenText VIM certification preferred.
