Job Summary

The SAP MM Support Consultant will provide L1/L2 functional support for procurement, inventory, material movements, receiving, shipping, master data and related sales or outbound processes. The consultant will help maintain material availability and continuity across manufacturing and logistics operations.

• Monitor, analyze and resolve incidents and service requests related to:

• Procurement and purchasing
• Supplier scheduling and material call-offs
• Inventory and stock management
• Goods receipt and goods issue
• Stock transfers and transfer postings
• Receiving and shipping
• Material master data
• Relevant sales and outbound processes

• Perform initial triage, assess business impact and assign tickets to the correct resolver group.
• Investigate transactional failures, stock inconsistencies, incorrect document statuses and movement errors.
• Resolve issues caused by missing or incorrect master data and configuration.
• Support routine operational requests and approved production-data corrections.
• Analyze failed MM-related IDocs and interfaces and coordinate technical issues with Integration and ABAP teams.
• Perform functional analysis for workflow, output and document-processing issues.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring procurement, inventory, receiving or shipping incidents.
• Perform configuration analysis and eligible small configuration corrections through the approved change process.
• Reproduce issues in non-production environments and coordinate functional, regression and user-acceptance testing.
• Support month-end processing and other business-critical operational activities.
• Prepare structured handovers when issues require major development, design changes or specialist L3 support.
• Maintain functional runbooks, known-error records and knowledge articles.

Skill Requirements

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP MM Purchasing and Inventory Management.
• Good understanding of material master, goods movements, stock transfers and logistics processes.
• Working knowledge of SAP Sales and Distribution processes relevant to shipping and outbound execution.
• Understanding of integration between MM, PP, EWM, Finance and external supplier systems.
• Experience with SAP configuration, incident management, RCA and controlled production changes.
• Experience working with ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM platform.
• Strong analytical, documentation and stakeholder-communication skills.
