Job Summary

D365 Business Central & LS retail tester 

Background:
We are looking for 2 positive team players who are passionate about creating value and who have a test background from a technology perspective. Preferably sitting in same office together and working close to together.

We are looking for  experienced Test Consultants to support ongoing (life cycle management, release and patch testing) and upcoming initiatives within our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/Navision and LS Retail landscape used for IKEA master version (i.e global template) store retail operations in areas like: home furnishing sales item and food item range management, logistics, sales, point of sale, customer order creation and finance in 28 different countries.

The consultants will play a key role in ensuring quality across areas in the ERP, with a strong focus on structured testing practices and business process validation testing business critical test scenarios.

The scope of the consultant services is to assist IKEA in: 

The Test Consultant will be responsible for support test planning, coordinating, and executing test activities across multiple workstreams. The role includes to write test cases, verify requirements, execute tests. It requires close collaboration with business stakeholders (business area SPOCs from the different Digital Capability Product teams, developers, and functional consultants to ensure high-quality delivery.

  • Together with test lead and platform lead define and implement test strategies and test plans
  • Design, execute, and document test cases and test scenarios
  • Perform functional, integration, and regression testing within D365 Business Central and LS Retail
  • Identify, log, and track defects and ensure proper resolution
  • Coordinate business and user acceptance testing (BAT/UAT) and support business stakeholders
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and results
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and frameworks

Skill Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Test Consultant/QA specialist in ERP environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Solid experience working with LS Retail
  • Good understanding of retail processes (POS, pricing, promotions, inventory, store operations)
  • Experience with structured testing methodologies and tools
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)

Other Requirements

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience working within large, complex organizations
  • Knowledge of IKEA systems, processes, or ways of working is a strong advantage
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for test and defect management
