Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L3 Network Engineer to support, design, implement, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, Cisco Wireless, and SD-WAN environments. The ideal candidate will serve as the highest level of technical escalation for network-related incidents and lead complex network transformation initiatives. A strong technical background combined with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and customer-facing skills is mandatory. The candidate should be capable of leading technical discussions, presenting solutions, managing critical incidents, and collaborating effectively with global teams and senior leadership.
This role drives strategic consulting engagements within the infrastructure management domain, providing technical leadership and architectural direction to deliver innovative solutions aligned with client business objectives. The position is responsible for shaping infrastructure transformation initiatives, ensuring best practices, and fostering technical excellence across complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations & Support Provide L3 support for enterprise LAN, WAN, Wireless, and SD-WAN environments. Act as the final technical escalation point for complex network incidents. Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority network outages within SLA timelines. Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and recommend permanent fixes. Ensure network availability, stability, performance, and security across global environments. Support 24x7 operations and participate in on-call rotations when required. Change Management & Network Implementations Plan, review, implement, and validate complex network changes. Lead network migration, upgrade, refresh, and transformation activities. Conduct impact assessments and risk analysis for planned changes. Ensure successful execution of changes with minimal business impact. Prepare implementation plans, rollback procedures, and change documentation. Critical Incident & Bridge Management Lead and drive critical network incident bridge calls (P1/P2 incidents). Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, service providers, and customers during major outages. Provide regular technical updates to leadership and stakeholders. Drive restoration activities and ensure timely service recovery. Own post-incident reviews and corrective action plans. Technical Leadership Provide technical guidance and mentoring to L1/L2 engineers. Review technical solutions and network designs. Drive operational excellence and continuous service improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to network standards, policies, and best practices.
1. Provide architectural leadership in infrastructure management by designing and implementing scalable solutions using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
2. Define and govern infrastructure strategies by leveraging virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) to optimize resource utilization and operational efficiency.
3. Lead technical assessments and solutioning for infrastructure modernization, utilizing monitoring and management platforms (Nagios, SolarWinds) to ensure reliability and performance.
4. Drive cross-domain technical alignment by integrating security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2) into infrastructure consulting deliverables.
5. Mentor consulting teams in adopting enterprise-scale design patterns and best practices for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps, utilizing advanced infrastructure analytics and automation.
