Job Summary
The ServiceNow Administrator – SAM is responsible for administration and support of the ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) module. The role focuses on managing software assets, license compliance, reconciliation processes, and resolving L2 support issues related to SAM operations.
7-14 Years of Relevant Industry Experience
Key Responsibilities
- In depth knowledge on SAM tools like ServiceNow SAM Pro,Flexera
- Understanding and knowledge Vendors licensing such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP,
- Maintain software models, publishers, and product catalog
- Good knowledge of various inventory/ discovery solutions, like ADDM, Bigfix, SCCM, ServiceNow etc.
- Knowledge of Hardware Asset Management Processed, CMDB, Service Request Management process.
- Depth knowledge on Publisher license metric.
- Knowledge of Generating and reviewing software compliance position report.
- Able to identify opportunities for software harvesting and optimization.
- Good Presentation skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access, Power Point.
Skill Requirements
- Day to Day SAM operation work
- Work with Discovery / SCCM / Intune / other data sources for software inventory
- Harvesting & Optimization etc.
- Customize workflows, business rules, and reports for SAM processes
- Troubleshoot integration and data ingestion issues
- Plan for renewals, renewal recommendations.
- Resource building and Resource planning
- Training and Mentoring of the team.
- Escalation handling.
