Job Summary
Prudential is expanding its global capability centre, growing the range of technology work it delivers and extending its reach across our markets in Asia and Africa. The programme will significantly broaden the engineering, support and specialist capability available to our businesses.
We are looking for two Market Delivery Leads, each owning a portfolio of markets end to end. You will work directly with each market's technology leadership to shape what the capability centre delivers for them, build the case for it, and manage the transition through to stable service.
These are relationship-led roles. Your counterparts are senior, they have their own priorities, and progress comes from credibility and evidence rather than mandate.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end relationship with technology leadership in each market in your portfolio.
•
Run discovery in each market to establish what is delivered locally today, across permanent staff, contractors and vendor-delivered work.
•
Build and maintain the scope register for each market through to formal sign-off, covering roles, capability, cost and delivery risk.
•
Work with local and Group Finance on the cost baseline and the benefits case for each move.
•
Identify capability the market needs and does not currently have, and shape how the capability centre provides it.
•
Agree sequencing and timing with each market, balancing appetite against readiness.
•
Assess service continuity risk for work carrying live production support, and judge when something is not ready to move.
•
Work with the capability centre on transition design: knowledge transfer, shadowing, dual running and cutover.
•
Support the people and change side of each move, working with local HR on timing and obligations.
Skill Requirements
8+ years of experience in technology delivery, transition or operations.
•
Hands-on transition and migration experience. You have personally moved technology work into a centralised or offshore delivery model and know what knowledge transfer, dual running and cutover involve in practice. Enough technical grounding to engage credibly with engineering and support teams.
•
Experience in a global capability centre, global business services or shared services environment, whether building one out, migrating scope into one, or delivering from within one.
•
Commercial literacy. You can build and defend a cost baseline, including vendor and contingent spend, and hold your own with Finance.
•
Experience working across multiple countries with different levels of maturity, regulation and local capability.
•
Senior stakeholder management, including where the stakeholder did not initially support the proposal.
•
Comfort with incomplete information, since much of the early work is establishing facts not currently documented
