Job Summary

The Developer (Mainframe Cobol, DB2, VSAM, JCL, Mainframe CICS) is responsible for developing and maintaining mainframe applications using Cobol, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and CICS. The role involves working on various projects related to mainframe technologies to support business operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Code, test, debug, and document software programs for mainframe applications.
2. Collaborate within teams to analyze requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
3. Perform maintenance and enhancements on existing mainframe applications.
4. Ensure code quality, performance, and security of mainframe applications.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in mainframe applications in a timely manner.

Skill Requirements

1. Knowledge of mainframe cobol programming language.
2. Understanding of db2, including database design and sql.
3. Familiarity with vsam datasets for data storage and retrieval.
4. Understanding of jcl (job control language) for batch processing in the mainframe environment.
5. Familiarity of mainframe cics (customer information control system).
6. Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Other Requirements

1.Relevant certifications in Mainframe technologies are a plus.
