Job Summary

The Senior Developer at HCL will be responsible for developing solutions using Microsoft PowerBI and SQL to meet business requirements. The role involves creating insightful reports and dashboards to aid in data driven decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports aligned with business requirements
• Connect to various data sources (SQL Server, Azure, Excel, APIs, etc.) and perform data extraction and transformation
• Develop and optimize data models using Power BI (Star Schema, relationships)
• Write efficient DAX queries and calculations for KPIs and metrics
• Perform data cleaning, transformation, and ETL processes using Power Query
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and access controls

Schedule report refreshes and manage datasets in Power BI Service

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain powerbi reports and dashboards.
2. Implement scalable sql databases.
3. Optimize sql queries and procedures for improved performance.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to powerbi or sql.
5. Stay updated with the latest trends in microsoft powerbi and sql technologies.
6. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within the systems.

Skill Requirements

1. Experience in microsoft powerbi for creating interactive visualizations and reports.
2. Strong knowledge of sql for database design, querying, and optimization.
3. Experience in data modeling and etl processes.
4. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
