Job Summary
The MuleSoft QA Engineer is responsible for validating the quality, functionality, performance, and security of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform–based integrations and APIs. The role focuses on API testing, integration testing, regression testing, and automation, working closely with MuleSoft developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure reliable enterprise integrations.

Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
- Analyze functional/technical requirements, user stories, and API specifications to create detailed test plans and test cases
- Perform manual and automated testing of MuleSoft APIs, flows, connectors, and integrations
- Execute positive, negative, boundary, and error‑handling scenarios for REST/SOAP APIs

API & Integration Testing
- Validate end‑to‑end integrations between MuleSoft and external systems (e.g., Salesforce, databases, ERP, CRM, legacy systems)
- Perform unit, integration, regression, and UAT support testing for MuleSoft applications
- Test message transformations, data mappings, and routing logic

Automation & CI/CD Support
- Develop and maintain automated API test scripts using tools such as Postman/Newman, SoapUI, RestAssured, Karate, or similar
- Validate MUnit test coverage and support continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines
- Support regression automation as part of release cycles

Performance & Security Testing
- Conduct load and performance testing to validate scalability and stability of MuleSoft integrations
- Perform basic security validation (authentication, authorization, token handling, TLS/OAuth flows)

Defect Management & Reporting
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools such as JIRA
- Work closely with developers to analyze root cause and validate fixes
- Prepare test execution reports, defect metrics, and quality status updates

Collaboration
- Collaborate with MuleSoft developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams during sprint cycles
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives)
- Support go‑live and post‑production validation

Skill Requirements
2. Handson experience with mulesoft for designing apis, integrations, and data mappings.
3. Strong understanding of version control systems, particularly github, for code management.
4. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (sdlc) methodologies and best practices.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
6. Good communication and leadership abilities to effectively lead technical teams.
7. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality solutions.
