Job Summary
Role Purpose
Lead database assessment, migration planning, data migration, performance validation, backup/recovery, reconciliation, and database operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess existing Oracle, SQL/MX, and other database dependencies.
• Define database migration strategy, cutover approach, backup/restore, rollback, and reconciliation plan.
• Support bulk migration, delta migration, and validation.
• Tune database performance before and after migration.
• Work with application teams to validate database connectivity, query behavior, and migration readiness.

• Databases: Oracle 19c, SQL/MX, SQL Server, MySQL where applicable
• Cloud Database Services: Azure SQL / Azure database migration options, Oracle on Azure VM where applicable
• Migration: Azure Database Migration Service, export/import, replication, backup/restore
• Data Validation: SQL, PL/SQL, reconciliation scripts, data comparison
• Performance: Index tuning, query tuning, execution plans, DB monitoring
• Security: DB access controls, encryption, backup security, audit support
• Data Engineering Awareness: ETL, data modeling, lifecycle management.
Skill Requirements
2. Proficiency in designing, developing, and implementing oracle integration cloud solutions.
3. Strong understanding of cloud technologies and services, particularly in the context of paas offerings.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
6. Strong leadership skills to drive technical initiatives and mentor team members effectively.
