Job Summary
Act as the bridge between business (store operations) and engineering, ensuring Oracle Xstore POS solutions are functionally aligned, technically feasible, and rollout-ready for multi-country deployment.
The role will own fit-gap analysis, requirement translation, UAT support, and solution validation across UK rollout and subsequent markets
Key Responsibilities
A. Functional Ownership & Fit-Gap Analysis
- Lead fit-gap analysis for Oracle Xstore POS against business processes
- Define and document:
- Business Requirements (BRDs)
- Functional Specifications (FSDs)
- User stories with acceptance criteria
- Ensure alignment of:
- UK regulatory requirements
- Global POS template vs local adaptations
B. Techno-Functional Solutioning
- Translate business requirements into techno-functional Xstore solutions
- Collaborate with:
- Development teams (customization/configuration)
- Integration teams (upstream/downstream systems)
- Ensure feasibility across:
- POS workflows
- Integration layers
- Deployment constraints
C. POS Functional Expertise (Core Scope)
Drive solutioning and validation across:
- Sales, returns, tenders
- Pricing, promotions, tax handling
- Omnichannel flows (if applicable)
- Ensure consistency across:
- Store operations
- Customer experience
D. Integration & End-to-End Alignment
- Work closely with integration teams to ensure:
- Alignment with ERP, SAP, SAP CAR, Workforce systems
- Validate:
- Data flows (inbound/outbound)
- End-to-end business process continuity
E. UAT, Pilot & Store Validation
- Lead and support:
- UAT planning and execution
- Business validation workshops
- Enable:
- Pilot store readiness
- Store acceptance and go-live readiness
- Act as primary liaison between business users and QA teams
F. Rollout & Deployment Support
- Support:
- Deployment readiness
- Cutover planning and business validation
- Ensure:
- Store readiness (configurations, workflows)
- Minimal disruption during rollout
G. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with:
- Business stakeholders (store ops, retail SMEs)
- QA teams (for validation and defect triage)
- Development teams (solution delivery)
- Program leadership (status, risks, decisions)
- Ensure clear functional traceability from requirement → test → deployment

Other Requirements
Experience Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in:
- Retail POS implementations
- Oracle Xstore programs (preferred)
- Proven experience in:
- Multi-country rollout programs
- Acting as bridge between business and technology teams
