Job Summary

HCLTech's Modern Application Development practice is deepening it’s focus on AI Native Software Delivery. We are seeking a Center of Excellence and Practice Leader to define how we build software and modernize with AI, set the standards and tooling, and grow this into a practice that wins new business with thought leadership across application modernization and software engineering. This role blends hands-on engineering leadership with the ability to build a center of excellence and drive solutions delivery.

Candidate Profile

  • 20+ years of experience in Application Modernization, Platform Engineering and Application Development, with at least 8 years leading software engineering standards, a center of excellence, or a similar practice at scale.
  • Deep, hands-on experience building software with AI-native and agentic development tools, including AI-assisted coding, automated testing, and agentic delivery workflows.
  • Strong background in modern software engineering, including cloud-native architecture, microservices, and DevOps practices.
  • Proven ability to build a practice with its own pipeline and revenue, not just an internal capability.
  • Strong executive presence, with the ability to represent HCLTech to clients, partners, and industry forums.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineerin from a top tier institution.
  • Relevant certifications in cloud, AI and Software Engineering
