Job Summary

We are seeking 10+ years of SAP ABAP experience, including minimum 3–5 years on S/4HANA. Highly experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with strong expertise in S/4HANA custom developments, modernization, and performance optimization. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing ABAP solutions aligned with S/4HANA best practices, supporting business processes, and mentoring junior developers.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Development

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP applications in S/4HANA environment
• Perform custom code remediation for ECC to S/4HANA conversion (SPAU/SPAU_ENH, ATC)
• Develop using ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDP, and Open SQL
• Create and optimize RAP / RESTful Application Programming Model (preferred)
• Develop and support OData services (SEGW / RAP‑based)
• Implement Fiori backend developments and integration with UI5 apps
• Work on interfaces involving IDoc, BAPI, RFC, Proxy, Web Services, and APIs
• Handle Forms development: Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts
• Optimize performance using HANA‑specific code pushdown techniques
• Debug complex issues across custom and standard SAP programs
• Ability to perform fit, gap analysis on SAP S/4 solutions to identify RICEFW objects and carry out Build, Testing, Documentation and Deployment.
• Good to have: Mobility and User Experience, Cloud and Virtualization, Data Management and Analytics.
• Experience required on green implementation and migration project

S/4HANA & HANA‑Specific

• Apply S/4HANA simplification item catalog changes
• Resolve issues related to data model changes (MATDOC, BP, CVI, etc.)
• Use ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) and Code Inspector for compliance
• Work with CDS Analytical Queries and annotations
• Basic knowledge on ABAP on HANA, CDS View, AMDP.

Functional & Integration Collaboration

• Collaborate with Functional Consultants (FI, CO, SD OTC, MM/P2P )
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Support and enhance SAP standard objects and user exits

Leadership & Governance

• Enforce coding standards and best practices
• Participate in technical design reviews
• Support production issues, root cause analysis, and fixes

Coordinate with BASIS and security teams for transports and roles

Mandatory

• ABAP/4 & ABAP OO (Expert)
• S/4HANA development experience
• CDS Views (Basic, Composite, Consumption)
• AMDP & Open SQL performance optimization
• OData services
• Enhancements: User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancements Framework
• Forms: Adobe Forms (mandatory), SmartForms
• Interfaces: IDoc, BAPI, RFC, Proxy, Web Services
• SAP Debugging & Performance tuning
• Transport management & change control

• SAP UI5 (basic understanding)

S/4HANA Conversion Experience (Highly Preferred)

• Brownfield / Greenfield / Landscape transformation projects
• Custom code adaptation using SPAU/SPAU_ENH
• CVI and Business Partner related developments
• Legacy code refactoring for HANA compatibility

Other Requirements

• SAP Certification (ABAP / S/4HANA) – will be added advantage
