Job Summary

The SAP Central Finance (CFIN) Senior Consultant will lead the design, implementation, and support of SAP S/4HANA Central Finance solutions as part of large-scale finance transformation initiatives. The role requires strong functional finance expertise, deep understanding of SAP CFIN architecture, and hands-on experience with real-time financial integration from multiple source systems.

Key Responsibilities

Central Finance Implementation

  • Lead end-to-end SAP Central Finance implementations, including:
    • Landscape assessment and fit-gap analysis
    • Design of CFIN architecture and deployment approach
  • Configure and support:
    • SAP S/4HANA Finance
    • Central Finance scenarios
    • Real-time and periodic replication

Integration & Data Replication

  • Configure and manage:
    • SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation)
    • FI document replication from SAP ECC and non-SAP systems
  • Handle:
    • Cost objects (Cost Center, Internal Orders, Profit Centers)
    • GL balances and transactional data replication
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve replication issues and errors

Finance & Controlling Expertise

  • Strong functional knowledge in:
    • General Ledger (New GL)
    • Accounts Payable & Receivable
    • Asset Accounting
    • Cost Center Accounting
    • Profit Center Accounting
  • Support financial harmonization, reconciliation, and period-end close

Technical & Functional Design

  • Prepare and review:
    • Functional design documents (FDD)
    • Configuration rationales
    • Test scenarios and reconciliation strategies
  • Collaborate with ABAP and Basis teams on:
    • Enhancements
    • Performance tuning
    • Error handling and automation

Testing & Deployment

  • Lead:
    • Integration testing (SIT)
    • User acceptance testing (UAT)
    • Cutover and go-live activities
  • Support hyper care and post go-live stabilization

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

  • Act as a functional lead or workstream lead for CFIN
  • Engage with business stakeholders and finance leadership
  • Mentor junior consultants and review deliverables

Skill Requirements

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance
  • Hands-on experience in SAP Central Finance
  • Expertise in SAP SLT configuration and monitoring
  • Deep financial accounting and controlling knowledge
  • Experience with multi-system and global finance landscapes

Good to Have

  • Experience with:
    • SAP MDG for Finance
    • SAP BPC / Group Reporting
    • SAP Fiori (Finance apps)
  • Knowledge of:
    • Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
    • Data harmonization and mapping strategies
  • S/4HANA brownfield or landscape transformation projects

Certifications (Preferred)

  • SAP S/4HANA Finance certification
  • SAP Central Finance certification

  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities
