Job Summary

Job Description: Engineering Manager Looking for an experienced manager to lead and coordinate deliverables from HCL’s Silicon Infra Enablement teams supporting the Meta account. This role will oversee validation efforts for Meta’s custom ASIC programs, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across silicon characterization, qualification, PVT testing, and emulation infrastructure tool development for utilization metrics. The manager will also drive the development of AI‑agentic tools to be leveraged across multiple Meta projects. The role involves engaging with multiple Meta leads to understand their problem statements and leading the execution of process‑improvement initiatives across the team. Roles and Responsibilities: ● CI/CD Infrastructure & Automation: Own the CI/CD pipeline for silicon test operations -- including daily triage, dashboard monitoring, test result analysis, and continuous improvement of build/test/release flows. Drive automation coverage to reduce manual validation cycles. ● Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the connective tissue between silicon design, firmware, platform engineering, and test operations. Participate in daily syncs across 6+ workstreams and weekly leadership reviews with senior management. ● Vendor & Partner Management: Manage vendor engineering teams (HCL), including weekly billing reviews, resource forecasting, and deliverable tracking. Ensure vendor output meets Meta's quality and velocity standards. ● On-Call & Incident Response: Participate in on-call rotations for Silicon Squad DE and Silicon Failure Analysis. Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for silicon-related production issues. ● AI-Driven Engineering Productivity: Champion AI tool adoption across the team -- including Claude Code, CodeCompose, and Devmate. Track and report on AI-assisted development metrics, driving adoption from baseline to 90%+ across the organization. ● Global Team Operations: Coordinate effectively across US (PST) and India (IST) time zones with regular late-evening syncs. Maintain team cadence through daily standups, weekly reviews, and cross-timezone alignment meetings. --- Qualifications ● 15+ years of experience in Software development, validation and software delivery management aspect. Experience in managed services team management. ● 8+ years of experience in silicon validation, test engineering, or hardware infrastructure, with 3+ years in engineering management. ● Deep understanding of ASIC/SoC validation methodologies, including PVT characterization, frequency binning, power/thermal analysis, and production test flows. ● Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines for hardware validation (not just software). ● Track record of managing distributed teams across multiple time zones and vendor organizations. ● Strong operational discipline -- comfortable with daily triage, incident response, and data-driven decision making. ● Familiarity with Python-based test automation frameworks, Presto/data warehouse querying, and dashboard/reporting tools. ● Excellent communication skills for interfacing with silicon design teams, platform engineers, and senior leadership. Nice to Have: ● Experience with Meta's internal tools ecosystem (Buck, Phabricator, Scuba, Workplace). ● Exposure to AI/ML accelerator silicon (training or inference ASICs). ● Hands-on coding ability for firmware-level test tooling and automation scripts. --- A Typical Week Looks Like: Activity Team syncs & daily standups (6+ daily meetings) 1:1s, leadership reviews & cross-org alignment CI/CD triage, test results review & incident response Vendor management & bil

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
