Job Summary

Technical Program Manager – Java / AWS (Retail Banking)

12-18 years of IT experience with:

  • Strong hands-on background in Java application development and architecture.
  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience.
  • Experience leading large-scale Digital Transformation and Cloud Modernization programs.
  • Proven customer-facing, stakeholder management, and solutioning experience.
  • Strong Retail Banking and Financial Services domain expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex application development, modernization, cloud migration, and digital transformation programs.
  • Establish program governance, delivery plans, risk management, and stakeholder communication frameworks.
  • Manage program schedules, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
  • Serve as the primary technology interface for customer and business stakeholders.
  • Lead executive governance reviews, steering committees, and architecture discussions.
  • Manage escalations, risks, and issue resolution across multiple workstreams.

Skill Requirements

  • Provide technical oversight for Java and AWS-based platforms.
  • Guide application modernization and cloud-native transformation initiatives.
  • Review architecture, design, security, scalability, resiliency, and performance considerations.
  • Drive adoption of Microservices and API-led architectures practices.
  • Mentor technical leads and engineering managers.
  • Manage resource planning, utilization, capability development, and succession planning.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
