Job Summary
We are looking for 12+ years’ experience Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a strong background in Java-based enterprise application development, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and experience in managing cloud-based applications. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can drive large-scale cloud application programs, manage engineering teams, oversee application support and on-call operations, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver business-critical solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a solid software engineering foundation, extensive cloud experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead both development and production support activities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Delivery Management

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud-native application programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across application development, cloud migration, modernization, and operational excellence.
  • Define program roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure timely delivery of commitments.
  • Track program KPIs, budget, resource utilization, and delivery health.
  • Provide regular status updates to executive leadership and customers.

Technical Leadership

  • Act as the technical bridge between engineering, architecture, product management, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance on Java-based distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
  • Review solution designs and architecture proposals.
  • Ensure application scalability, performance, reliability, and security requirements are met.
  • Drive engineering best practices across development and operations teams.

Cloud Engineering & GCP

  • Lead GCP-based application programs and modernization initiatives.
  • Partner with architects and engineering teams to design resilient cloud-native solutions.
  • Drive cloud governance, security, compliance, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure operational excellence through observability and automation.

Application Development

  • Manage the development lifecycle of enterprise-scale applications.
  • Provide oversight on Java/Spring Boot microservices architecture.
  • Review application design, coding standards, CI/CD processes, and release management activities.
  • Partner with engineering teams to improve software quality and reduce technical debt.
  • Support modernization initiatives from monolithic applications to microservices and containerized environments.

Production Support & On-Call Operations

  • Own production support governance for critical cloud applications.
  • Participate in major incident management and on-call support activities.
  • Coordinate incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and service restoration.
  • Track SLAs, SLOs, MTTR, availability, and operational KPIs.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and drive preventive actions.
  • Lead 24x7 support and escalation management when required.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with business leaders, customers, architects, product owners, and engineering teams.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships.
  • Present technical and program updates to senior leadership.
  • Facilitate decision-making across distributed teams.

Skill Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 12+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java application development.
  • Proven experience managing cloud-native application programs on GCP.
  • Experience leading large engineering and support teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
