Job Summary

In this role you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large, complex programs end-to-end. Responsibilities include collection of business and systems requirements, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch. You will lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts between internal and external teams to develop optimal solutions. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the project team throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
3. Implement agile methodology to drive project execution and delivery.
4. Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
5. Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project completion.
6. Manage project documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer.
7. Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
8. Collaborate with cross functional teams to achieve project objectives.
9. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management process.
10. Ensure alignment of project outcomes with business goals and objectives.

As a TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop end-to-end integrated plan, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, ability to influence and negotiate, analytical skills and leadership are essential for success in this role. The individual must demonstrate technical leadership to:

•     Drive execution of projects
•     Lead cross functional meetings
•     Lead milestone reviews
•     Present project status to the executive team

Skill Requirements

The right candidate will possess a strong technical program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large programs, and will have a well-rounded technical background. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.

An undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering 

10+ years of experience with 4-6 years industry experience as a software developer or technical lead is required

3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
 
Knowledge in Robotics, AI/ML SW development is a plus

Good track record of working effectively across different groups in the organization

Hands-on experience with Program management tools like Jira for managing bugs and resolution. Must have worked in product development environment (robotic preferred) where they drive issues resolution.

Agile and Scrum 

Excellent written and oral communication skills

1. Strong proficiency in program management principles and practices. 
2. In-depth knowledge and experience in agile methodology and its application in project management.
3. Exceptional leadership and communication skills to effectively lead project teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
4. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects concurrently, and adapt to changing priorities.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills to address project challenges and implement effective solutions.
6. Proficiency in project management tools and software for project planning, tracking, and reporting.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
