Job Summary

We are looking for a candidate experienced in Product Management to develop and sustain products through the end-to-end product lifecycle. This person will work with our senior technologists, architects and customers to identify products that are complementary to and/or fill a gap in the Customer IP portfolio and build a business case for adding the Partner product to the roadmap. You will lead engagements with Partners and internal stakeholders to define and position the product offering within the Customer portfolio of products. Primary focus is leveraging Partner products to accelerate growth of Customer IP portfolio. Teamwork skills are essential as you will work closely with extended customer cross-functional teams to launch the product offering through customer’s new product introduction governance process. 

Key Responsibilities

Leads and drives the end-to-end strategy and operational product roadmap for one or more products.

· Defines the value proposition, target customer segments, and business case to bring CUSTOMER Solutions with third party products to market with respect to the whole company product portfolio (i.e. Product configuration mix, Revenue/Margins, financials, market share).

· Develops hardware bill of materials for optimized performance with third party software

· Advises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle (e.g., planning, development, launch, management, end of life).

· Creates and drives goal alignment and collaborates across one or more products' value chain Partners to optimize margins and enable success of products per plans across the product lifecycle. (ie. Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing, Pricing).

· Demonstrates understanding of Data Protection technology, market and customer for effective positioning within the market and CUSTOMER’s product portfolio

· Engages closely with CUSTOMER and Partner technical and business teams to develop, structure and position competitive joint solutions

· Performs cost modeling to develop price, discount, cost structure for product offering that is competitive and meets margin expectations

· Leads product management activities and influences extended cross-functional team ensuring compliance to all CUSTOMER New Product Introduction/Launch governance requirements to achieve targeted launch date

· Collaborates with Partners, CUSTOMER Go To Market, Field Enablement and Engineering teams to enable delivery of effective technical and marketing content for leverage across CUSTOMER websites and tools (regional communication packages, white papers, reference architectures, tech talks, PODs, press releases)

· Works with CUSTOMER Sales Teams to generate demand and build pipeline

· Becomes a subject matter expert on the products and joint solutions

· Supports customer deal engagement, configuration, quoting and escalated pricing process

· Establishes positive Partner relationships, promoting development of joint opportunities that benefit both Companies

· Supports Quarterly Business Reviews with Partners to report on business results and key performance metrics and align on go-forward strategic priorities

Education and Experience Required:

 

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study. MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred

· 8+ years of work experience in related field

· Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry

Minimum Salary (US):  87000

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
