Role Overview

This role combines project delivery ownership and end-to-end testing governance for SAP programs (S/4HANA / ECC). The individual is responsible for planning, execution, stakeholder management, and ensuring high-quality releases through structured testing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities 1. Project Management Responsibilities Delivery Ownership Manage end-to-end SAP project lifecycle (Discover → Prepare → Explore → Realize → Deploy → Run) Drive project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting Ensure delivery within scope, timeline, cost, and quality targets Governance & Reporting Conduct: Weekly governance calls Steering committee meetings Status reporting to leadership/client Track: Risks, issues, dependencies (RAID log) Milestones and deliverables Stakeholder Management Act as single point of contact for client and leadership Manage cross-functional teams (OTC, P2P, PP/QM, Basis, ABAP, Security) Handle escalations and critical decision-making 2. Test Management Responsibilities Test Strategy & Planning Define overall test strategy: Unit Testing (UT) System Integration Testing (SIT) User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Regression Testing Prepare: Test plans Test scenarios & test cases Test Execution & Quality Control Oversee execution across cycles (SIT/UAT) Ensure: Defect tracking & resolution Entry/Exit criteria compliance Monitor: Test progress Defect leakage & severity trends Test Governance Drive test governance including: Daily/weekly defect triage calls Test status dashboards Ensure alignment with quality standards and release readiness 3. Integration of PM + Testing Functions Align project milestones with testing cycles Ensure quality gates are built into delivery lifecycle Balance: Speed of delivery Quality and stability of releases Drive zero-defect / minimal defect go-live approach 4. Risk & Quality Management Identify and mitigate: Project risks Test-related risks (environment readiness, data issues) Ensure strong cutover and go-live readiness planning 5. Tools & Methodologies Project Tools: MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps Test Tools: HP ALM, SolMan  Methodologies: SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid models 7. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain:
    • Project plans, RAID logs, status reports
    • Test strategy, test scripts, defect logs

Skill Requirements

Required Skills

Project Management

  • Strong experience in:
    • SAP S/4HANA implementations / AMS programs
  • Expertise in:
    • Project planning and estimation
    • Budget and financial tracking

Testing Expertise

  • Deep experience in:
    • SIT/UAT management
    • Defect lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of:
    • Test automation tools (Tosca preferred)
    • Test data management

Domain Expertise

  • Good understanding of SAP modules:
    • EWM, OTC, P2P, PP/QM, FI integration
  • Exposure to global delivery models

Other Requirements

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management

  • Ability to manage high-pressure go-live situations

Preferred Certifications

  • PMP / PRINCE2
