Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Incident & problem management
- Serve as the senior escalation point (L3) for production incidents across GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Tax, Intercompany, and SLA, diagnosing root causes and driving them to resolution within SLA.
- Manage the full incident lifecycle in the ITSM tool (e.g., ServiceNow / Jira) — triage, prioritization, investigation, resolution, and root-cause analysis — and lead problem management to eliminate recurring issues.
- Log, manage, and follow through on Oracle Service Requests (SRs) via My Oracle Support, including escalations to Oracle Development for product bugs and patches.
Functional configuration & support
- Maintain and troubleshoot configurations across the core modules: chart of accounts, ledgers, accounting calendars, AutoAccounting, payment processing, bank reconciliation, asset books and depreciation, tax rules and rates, and intercompany balancing.
- Investigate and resolve Subledger Accounting (SLA) mapping issues, accounting exceptions, and period-close blockers.
- Support and troubleshoot month-end and year-end close activities, working closely with Finance to ensure timely and accurate close.
Release & change management
- Own the impact assessment, testing, and regression of Oracle's quarterly Fusion release updates; identify new features and risks, and coordinate UAT with the business.
- Manage configuration changes through a controlled change-management process, including documentation, approvals, and deployment via sandbox-to-production promotion.
- Maintain and update setup documentation, functional designs, and the configuration workbook (BR100 / setup registers).
Integrations, data & reporting
- Troubleshoot inbound/outbound integrations and FBDI/ADFdi data loads, working with technical teams to resolve interface and conversion errors.
- Support and maintain financial reporting — OTBI, BI Publisher, Financial Reporting Studio (FRS), and Smart View — and resolve report and data-extract issues.
- Investigate data integrity issues and support reconciliation between subledgers and the general ledger.
Stakeholder management & leadership
- Act as a trusted functional advisor to Finance stakeholders, translating business requirements into Fusion solutions and recommending best practices.
- Mentor and provide technical/functional guidance to junior support analysts, and conduct knowledge-transfer sessions.
- Contribute to continuous service improvement — identifying automation opportunities, reducing ticket volumes, and improving the support knowledge base.
Skill Requirements
- 7+ years of Oracle Financials experience, with significant hands-on Oracle Fusion / ERP Cloud support and implementation experience.
- Deep functional expertise across GL, AP, AR, FA, and Cash Management, plus strong working knowledge of Fusion Tax, Intercompany, and Subledger Accounting.
- Proven experience managing Oracle quarterly release updates and an end-to-end production support environment against defined SLAs.
- Strong skills in FBDI/ADFdi data loads, OTBI/BI Publisher reporting, and the My Oracle Support / SR process.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and the financial period-close cycle.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
