Python Senior Technical Lead - Data Analysis, SQL

Job Summary

  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data structures and legacy specifications.

 

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and understand the Annuity Data Domain Model and associated enterprise mapping documents.
  • Analyze Transcend specification documents for existing outbound data feeds.
  • Translate Transcend feed specifications into ALIP‑based technical specifications aligned to the existing structures of the downstream feeds
  • Prepare detailed source‑to‑target mapping documents for 275+ data feeds, including:
    • Attribute‑level mappings
    • Data type alignment
    • Business rules and transformations
    • Inclusion / exclusion criteria
    • Key and relationship mappings
  • Validate mappings against actual data by querying:
    • Transcend (Oracle) source tables
    • ALIP data domain in Lake or reference datasets
  • Identify gaps, ambiguities, or inconsistencies in legacy specifications and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Ensure mappings adhere to enterprise data standards, naming conventions, and data governance guidelines.
  • Support downstream development and testing teams by clarifying specifications and resolving data questions.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Skills

  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data structures and legacy specifications.
  • Basic to intermediate SQL skills for:
  • Querying Oracle databases (Transcend)
  • Querying data in the enterprise Data Lake
  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications, data models, and mapping documents.

Domain & Technical Knowledge

  • Familiarity with relational databases and normalized data models.
  • Exposure to insurance or annuity data domains is a strong plus
