Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Scrum Master / Project Manager to lead Agile delivery for SAP S/4HANA initiatives within a governed, enterprise SAP CoE environment. This role will be responsible for managing SAP-focused sprints, enforcing delivery governance, and ensuring alignment with clean core principles, DevOps practices, and enterprise standards.
The ideal candidate combines strong Agile execution capabilities (Scrum/Kanban) with a deep understanding of SAP landscapes (S/4HANA, integrations, ABAP, Basis, Security) and Jira-based delivery frameworks.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or Agile Delivery Lead
Strong experience managing SAP projects (S/4HANA preferred)
Deep hands-on experience with Jira (boards, workflows, reporting, dashboards)
Proven experience managing Agile sprints in SAP environments
Strong understanding of: SAP modules (RTR, PTP, OTC/QTC, WHM, etc.) SAP development lifecycle (ABAP, transports, testing cycles) is a plus. Experience working within structured governance frameworks
Technical Skills:
• Strong Jira (Scrum/Kanban)
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage a team of sap abap developers in the implementation and enhancement of sap solutions on hana platform.
2. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
3. Design, develop, and customize sap programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements using abap on hana.
4. Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshoot issues to ensure high-quality deliverables.
5. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards in sap development.
6. Coordinate with cross functional teams to integrate sap systems with other applications and technologies.
7. Stay updated with the latest sap abap on hana advancements and recommend innovative solutions to improve system performance.
Skill Requirements
## Primary Skills
Agile & Sprint Management: 8+ years as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or Agile Delivery Lead managing end-to-end sprint lifecycles (sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives).
SAP Ecosystem Experience: Strong experience managing SAP projects, specifically SAP S/4HANA initiatives.
Jira Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Jira administration, including configuring and managing boards (Scrum/Kanban), workflows, custom dashboards, reporting, and maintaining "Jira hygiene" (ticket classification).
Team Leadership: Experience managing cross-functional technical and functional SAP teams (including ABAP, Functional, CPI, Basis, and Security).
Metrics & Reporting: Ability to track and report on KPIs like Velocity, Burn-down/burn-up, Sprint predictability, Defect leakage, and provide executive-level status reporting.
Governance & Compliance: Experience working within structured enterprise governance frameworks, including change management processes, audit readiness
## Secondary Skills
SAP Technical Lifecycle: Understanding of the SAP development lifecycle, including ABAP, transports (CTS+, Rev-Trac), and testing cycles.
Functional SAP Module Awareness: Familiarity with core SAP modules such as RTR, PTP, OTC/QTC, WHM, etc.
DevOps & Automation Tooling: Familiarity or support integration experience with GitHub, transport tools, and testing tools (such as Tosca and qTest).
Advanced SAP Principles: Understanding of "Clean Core" principles (A/B/C/D classification enforcement) and Segregation of Duties (SoD).
