SAP ABAP Senior Technical Lead
Hyderabad, Telangana

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant (4–6 years) with strong hands-on expertise in S/4HANA migration projects. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in SPDD/SPAU activities, ABAP code remediation, and should have worked on all RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) in a migration environment.
S/4HANA Migration & Conversion
•
Participate in end-to-end SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration/conversion projects.
•
Perform technical impact analysis based on S/4HANA simplification items.
•
Execute custom code remediation using ATC, SCI, and Simplification Database.
•
Work closely with cross-functional teams during SUM execution and upgrade phases.
•
Support data consistency checks, pre-checks, and post-migration validations.
SPDD / SPAU Activities
•
Perform SPDD adjustments during the upgrade phase:
o
Data Dictionary object modifications (tables, structures, indexes, domains).
•
Handle SPAU activities post-upgrade:
o
Adjustment of modified SAP standard objects.
o
Compare versions and decide on retain/reset strategies.
•
Maintain proper documentation of all adjustments and ensure transport consistency.
Code Remediation & Optimization
•
Analyze and resolve S/4HANA adaptation issues identified via:
o
ATC checks (S/4 readiness)
o
Code Inspector
•
Replace obsolete/unsupported syntax and optimize legacy code.
•
Implement HANA-optimized ABAP:
o
Open SQL improvements
o
Use of CDS views / performance tuning techniques
•
Ensure compliance with S/4HANA best practices.
Development & Support
•
Design, develop, test, and deploy technical objects aligned with business requirements.
•
Must have very strong in all RICEF developments.
•
Perform unit testing, SIT, UAT support, and defect fixes.
•
Support cutover, go-live, and post-go-live stabilization activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and mentor technical teams in the development and implementation of sap abap solutions
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
3. Design, develop, and test sap abap programs to support business processes
4. Provide technical expertise and guidance on system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations
5. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring systems are efficient and stable
6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve technical solutions

Skill Requirements

1. Strong knowledge of sap abap programming basics including:
2. Abap data dictionary
3. Report programming
4. Module pool programming
5. Function module programming
6. Enhancement framework
7. Proficiency in sap ui5/fiori, webdynpro abap, and sap workflow
8. Experience in sap technologies such as sap s/4hana, sap netweaver, and sap cloud platform
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
10. Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Other Requirements

1.SAP Certified Development Associate ABAP with SAP NetWeaver (If any)
