Job Summary

Job Description: Experienced SAP ABAP Developer
 
Role Summary: We are looking for a strong SAP ABAP developer to design, build and optimize enterprise grade solutions on S/4HANA. Do reply along with match % and details of not a match skill.

Key Responsibilities

 
Key Responsibilities
 
• Design and develop SAP WRICEF objects ( Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) aligned to functional specs and coding standards.
 
• Build high quality OOP ABAP solutions leveraging S/4HANA artifacts (CDS Views, AMDP, OData/Gateway services), including unit tests and performance tuning.
 
• Develop and maintain interfaces (ALE/IDoc/BAPI/BADI/Enhancements/User Exits) and forms (Smart Forms/Adobe).
 
• Participate in code reviews, defect triage, cutover support, and deployment activities following Agile/DevOps practices.
 
• Collaborate with functional consultants (FI/MM/SD/Procure to Pay) to translate requirements into technical designs and testable deliverables.
 
• VIM Upskill (guided): shadow VIM enhancements, learn invoice capture basics, workflow steps, and exception scenarios; support report builds and minor config under supervision
 
• Actively learn VIM functionality and contribute to AD & AO activities.

Skill Requirements

Must Have Technical Skills (ABAP Core)
 
• ABAP on S/4HANA with strong OO ABAP foundations.
 
• CDS Views, AMDP, OData/Gateway (SICF) for Fiori/UI integration and APIs.
 
• RICEFW development with emphasis on Interfaces/Conversions and Enhancements/BADIs.
 
• IDoc/ALE, BAPI, User Exits, BADI implementations.
 
• Forms: Smart Forms and Adobe Forms (print/output).
 
• Performance optimization, debugging, and unit testing discipline. Good to Have
 
• Exposure to Agile delivery, CI/CD, and code quality practices.
 
• Familiarity with FI/MM/SD data models (esp. P2P scenarios).
 
• Basics of OpenText ecosystem or interest in OCR/Intelligent Capture, workflow, exception handling (to be trained).

Other Requirements

Qualifications
 
• 8+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development (S/4).
 
• Proven delivery of WRICEF across at least one end to end implementation or multiple rollouts/support releases.
 
• Strong problem solving, clean code mindset, and stakeholder communication.
 
Soft Skills
 
• Proactive ownership in triage, debug to resolution, and peer mentoring.
 
• Collaborative, customer facing communication.
