JD – SAP BTP CPI / API Management ConsultantJob TitleSAP BTP CPI & API Management ConsultantLocationOffshore / Onsite (as applicable)Experience7+ Years SAP Experience with strong expertise in SAP Integration Suite / CPIJob SummaryWe are looking for an experienced SAP BTP CPI & API Management Consultant responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), and SAP API Management (APIM). The candidate should possess strong expertise in SAP integration technologies, API governance, hybrid integration scenarios, and troubleshooting complex interface issues across SAP and non-SAP systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement integration solutions using SAP CPI on SAP BTP.Develop and maintain interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems using synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns.Work extensively with adapters such as SOAP, REST, OData, IDoc, JDBC, SFTP, HTTP, JMS, Mail, and File adapters.Design reusable and scalable iFlows using CPI palette components including Router, Content Modifier, Multicast, Message Mapping, XSLT Mapping, Groovy Scripts, Exception Subprocess, and Data Store operations.Implement robust error handling, monitoring, retry mechanisms, logging, and alerting frameworks for enterprise integrations.Develop and manage APIs using SAP API Management including API proxies, policies, security, traffic management, and API lifecycle governance.Configure and implement API policies such as OAuth2, Rate Limiting, Quota, Access Control, CORS, Threat Protection, and message transformation policies.Work on integration security including certificates, keystore management, OAuth authentication, and secure communication protocols.Support migration of existing SAP PI/PO interfaces to SAP BTP Cloud Integration (CPI).Collaborate with functional, technical, Basis, and business teams for requirement gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and production stabilization.Monitor and manage incidents, service requests, change requests, and SLA compliance.Perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives for integration stability and performance.Prepare status reports, technical documentation, and deployment artifacts.Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance technical capabilities and productivity.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite / SAP CPI.Experience in SAP API Management (APIM) development and governance.Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and middleware concepts.Hands-on experience with Groovy scripting, XML/JSON transformations, XSLT, and message mapping.Experience integrating SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, and third-party applications.Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, OData, HTTPS, JWT, OAuth2, and API security principles.Experience with JMS queues, ProcessDirect, Data Store, and event-driven integration scenarios.Exposure to SAP Cloud Connector, IAS/IPS integration, and hybrid connectivity.Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools in SAP BTP Integration Suite.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsSAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Integration Suite.Experience with SAP Event Mesh, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps concepts.Exposure to SAP BTP Extension Suite and CAP applications.Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.Experience working in onsite/offshore delivery models. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and configure integration scenarios using sap cpi within the btp framework.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather integration requirements and propose solutions.
3. Develop and implement custom interfaces, mappings, and transformations in sap cpi.
4. Perform system integration testing and troubleshoot any issues in the integration flows.
5. Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure successful project delivery within the defined timelines.
6. Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members in sap cpi development best practices.

Skill Requirements

1. In-depth knowledge of sap cloud platform integration (cpi) and experience in designing and implementing integration solutions.
2. Proficiency in sap btp services and capabilities related to integration, such as api management, integration suite, and process integration.
3. Strong understanding of sap cloud platform, s/4hana, and other sap modules for seamless integration.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex integration issues.
5. Good communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and drive projects to successful completion.

Other Requirements

1.SAP Certified Development Associate SAP Cloud Platform Integration or similar certification is preferred.
