Job Summary
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer and maintain SAP systems, including installation, configuration, monitoring, upgrades, and patch management.
- Perform daily health checks, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of SAP BASIS components to ensure system stability and optimal functionality.
- Manage user administration, roles, and authorizations within the SAP landscape.
- Coordinate and execute system migrations, backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to support and optimize SAP environments.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and industry best practices.
- Participate in SAP projects, including implementations, upgrades, and integrations, providing BASIS expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all SAP BASIS processes, configurations, and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users, resolving incidents and fulfilling service requests in a timely manner.
- Monitor system logs, analyze issues, and proactively resolve potential problems to minimize business impact.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in SAP BASIS administration, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on expertise with SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, and/or other SAP solutions.
- Strong knowledge of database administration (e.g., Oracle, HANA, SQL Server) as it pertains to SAP environments.
- Proficient in managing SAP transports, client copies, and system refreshes.
- Familiarity with SAP security concepts, user management, and authorization processes.
- Experience with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or UNIX in relation to SAP system administration.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and documentation abilities.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS (OPTIONAL)
- SAP BASIS certification is highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud-based SAP deployments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager for monitoring and administration.
- Exposure to automation tools and scripting (e.g., Shell, PowerShell, Python) is an advantage.
- Ability to work in an international, multicultural team environment.
Key Responsibilities

3. Perform system assessments, conduct risk analysis, and implement best practices to enhance system performance.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to sap basis and s/4hana, ensuring system reliability.
5. Develop and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and system configurations.
6. Provide training and support to end-users and technical teams on sap basis functionality and best practices.
