SAP FICO Lead Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO QA Test Analyst with over 8+ years of experience in SAP Finance testing, specializing in Record-to-Report (RTR) and Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) processes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP FICO functional testing, end-to-end business process validation, integration testing, defect management, and test automation support across SAP S/4HANA environments.

Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, or transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT testing for SAP FICO modules.
  • Validate end-to-end Record-to-Report (RTR) business processes, including:
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Asset Accounting (AA)
    • Bank Accounting
    • Financial Closing and Reporting
  • Test and validate SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) processes:
    • Revenue Recognition
    • Contract Accounting
    • Performance Obligations
    • Revenue Posting and Adjustments
    • IFRS15 / ASC606 compliance requirements
  • Develop and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements.
  • Conduct SIT, UAT, regression, and end-to-end testing across SAP and integrated applications.
  • Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Functional Consultants, Developers, and Business Users.
  • Support release management, deployment validation, and post-production testing.
  • Participate in requirement workshops and provide quality assurance recommendations.

Skill Requirements

SAP Functional Expertise in SAP FI/CO testing, S/4 Hana Finance

  • Testing Expertise in Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing etc.

Required knowledge on the below Tools

  • JIRA
  • HP ALM / Quality Center
  • Azure DevOps
  • SAP Solution Manager
  • Excel and Reporting Tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, or transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of IFRS15 and ASC606 revenue recognition standards.
  • Experience testing integrations with SAP FI with SD OTC etc.
  • Exposure to SAP Test Automation tools (Tricentis Tosca, Worksoft, CBTA, etc.).
  • SAP Certification in FICO or S/4HANA Finance is preferred.

Other Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Ability to work independently in global delivery environments.
  • Strong understanding of financial business processes and controls.
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall project delivery models.

Nice to Have

  • SAP BRIM Testing experience.
  • SAP Central Finance (CFIN) exposure.
  • SAP Group Reporting testing experience.

Automation testing experience with SAP environments.
