Job Summary

The Lead Consultant (SAP S/4HANA Materials Management) will be responsible for managing and implementing SAP S/4HANA Materials Management solutions, ensuring streamlined processes and efficient inventory management. The role involves working closely with clients to understand their requirements, designing solutions, and providing ongoing support to optimize Materials Management functionalities.

Key Responsibilities

Position Summary

SAP S/4HANA MM Support Consultant responsible for providing functional support, troubleshooting, configuration, enhancements, and continuous improvement for Procurement, Inventory Management, and Material Master processes within SAP S/4HANA. The role involves close collaboration with business users, cross-functional teams, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure stable and optimized business operations.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of SAP MM functional experience with at least 1 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration project.

Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Procurement and Inventory Management.

Experience supporting SAP Fiori applications and role-based access.

Strong understanding of Workflow and Output Management in S/4HANA.

Experience with Material Master, Vendor Master, and Business Partner concepts.

Working knowledge of integration with FI/CO, SD, PP, QM, EWM.

Experience with IDoc processing, EDI, APIs, and middleware platforms (CPI).

Knowledge of MRP, Planning Areas, Consumption-Based Planning, and Supply Chain processes.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working in AMS/Application Support environments using ITIL processes.

Key Responsibilities

Support & Operations

Provide Level 2/Level 3 functional support for SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) and Procurement processes.

Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, service requests, and production issues within agreed SLAs.

Perform root cause analysis and recommend sustainable solutions for recurring issues.

Coordinate testing and deployment activities for SAP releases, enhancements, and support packs.

Support end-to-end procurement processes

Support Stock Transport Orders (Intercompany and Intracompany).

Support special procurement processes

Manage approval workflows and release strategies in S/4HANA

Support Inventory Management processes

Work closely with Warehouse Management / EWM teams for inventory and logistics-related issues.

Support Material Master maintenance and governance activities.

Maintain material classifications, batch management, shelf-life management, and serialization processes.

Configure and support:

Organizational Structure

Purchasing Organizations

Purchasing Groups

Plants

Storage Locations

Release Strategies/Flexible Workflows

Output Management

Tax Determination

Collaborate with ABAP, Basis, Integration, and Fiori teams to deliver enhancements and reports.

Support custom developments, user exits, BADIs, CDS Views, and Fiori applications related to MM.

Support integrations between SAP MM and:

FI/CO

EWM/WM

SAP MDG

SAP CPI

Monitor and troubleshoot:

IDocs

APIs

EDI Interfaces

Middleware integrations

Support supplier collaboration and external procurement interfaces.

Support data extraction and reporting through CDS Views, Embedded Analytics, and SAP Query tools.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement certification.

Experience with SAP MDG and Business Partner management.

Exposure to SAP EWM.

Knowledge of Support tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy.
