SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution Senior Product Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) Lead Architect to lead the migration and implementation of SAP GTS in an SAP S/4HANA environment for Vestas. The architect will own the end-to-end solution architecture, blueprinting, integration design, delivery governance, and cutover for SAP GTS, ensuring compliant and scalable global trade processes across business units and geographies.

This role is critical to shaping the target-state approach, confirming the SAP GTS deployment model and integration touchpoints, and baselining the execution plan for implementation waves

Skill Requirements

10+ years SAP experience with 5+ years of hands-on SAP GTS leadership (architect/lead consultant/solution lead).

Proven experience leading at least one end-to-end SAP GTS implementation and one migration/upgrade/transition (or comparable transformation) in complex landscapes.

Strong functional architecture understanding of:

  • SPL screening, embargo, licensing/legal regulations, classification, and preference/trade agreement processes.

Demonstrated experience defining integration touchpoints and cross-module impacts with SAP ERP/S/4HANA.

Strong capability in architecture governance: HLDs, design walkthroughs, build quality gates, defect triage, and go-live readiness.

 

  • Exposure to SAP’s newer GTS direction (e.g., Edition for SAP HANA / E4H) and lifecycle transitions.
  • Experience in global manufacturing / supply chain contexts (multi-country trade compliance, customs, and preference).
  • Experience delivering programs using structured methodologies (e.g., SAP Activate) and Agile delivery governance.

Executive-ready communication; can explain risk, tradeoffs, and architecture decisions clearly.Strong stakeholder management across business, IT, compliance, and external partners.Structured problem-solving; calm leadership under delivery pressure; high documentation quality.
